Networking with Fans... 'Friends'

• BBR Productions Inc : Networking with Fans... 'Friends'

The word 'Fan' is actually short for 'Fanatic', but they are more than fanatics, they are friends. They can be friends of the 'Brand'. They want to be friends with the Brand. They paid to see, touch, listen, and be in the experience of said Brand. Friends, or rather, guests, of a Brand want to connect on any level with the history, present and future of where it is all going.

Connecting on a more personal level begins with interaction. If at an event, the Brand's event or another Brand's event, be approachable. That attitude gives the friendship an opportunity to connecting in a more personal way. If possible, have an item, or merchandise, to give them. This is so they leave with something to remember the meeting with.

(Free in a Brand's early stages / charge when that Brand earns the right to sell)

Networking is all about building and cultivating relationships, this includes with the following group of people; Friends, Family, Associates, and the audience of said Brand. Making fans feel like friends, without really going out of your way to hangout with them in a too personal way, builds that networking circle as well as a bond with them.

Networking : 5 Networking tips

• BBR Productions Inc : Networking : 5 Networking tips

What are some valuable networking tips to help build and solidify any relationship? There are more than five to pick from, but these are helpful things to get any person on the correct path. Most of all, any of these five tips are meant to help improve the value of kindness between two people.

Update a calendar with events : Place in a calendar special dates; birthdays, marriages, kid's birthdays, job start day, the day you met them. In addition, write down events; Shows, Promotions, etc. They are important to people, they should be important to you!

Take notes in your phone after each encounter : After you meet anyone, you should place information about them vital to that conversation, or what is coming up for that person. Listen closely to that specific conversation. After leaving, take out your phone and mark down items of note!

Names : Names are important to remember. They associate value with a person. When you say “Hello Thomas” it changes your encounter. They might not remember your name, but it makes them try harder next time because you remembered theirs.

Them, always them : In any conversation listen and respond with them. People love hearing their own voice, they also enjoy being listen to respectively. But when building relationships it is about them any ways. So give them that time. You are already friends with yourself, listen to another person!

A good impression : The last thing they will remember is how well you left them. Be nice to everyone. Most grandly, make a person laugh, think, or even feel like they gave you something to live with. That they had inspired you. Who knows, maybe they had. Let them know! Peace in harmony lasts forever.

Networking : Interact

• BBR Productions Inc : Networking : Interact

People can get overwhelmingly busy throughout the week. Relationships can lose a lot of that connecting time. Interaction keeps a name in place. Simple interaction helps maintain and grow every relationship we as people forge. There is a great pleasure when waking up, or walking through day, and finding a small message from those we know. Saying hi is nice, but letting a person vanish in the shadows a forgotten mind is dangerous.

Social Media has become a great way to keep in touch with a growing Network Circle. Liking, commenting, sharing, even messaging people on any Social Media site from a phone makes this easy. On an eating break, or while sitting in travel (Subway, Train, Bus, Taxi), not when driving. No TEXT and drive. Emails are nice too. Or a text message! An inspirational text message out of nowhere is motivating. Who knows, it might even turn into a wonderful conversation / opportunity.

Interacting with people can be as frequent as once a week, or once a month. Too much interaction can be daunting. Keep the relationship in check based on how close that specific relationship is. Family, Friends, and even Associates have different levels of closeness. On a contact sheet, or within the phone contact profile, mark down the Relationships Strength. 1 : You know them, 2 : You know each other, 3 : Friends, 4 : Close Friends, 5 : Hangout often.

Networking : Reach out and say Hi

• BBR Productions Inc : Networking : Reach out and say Hi

A little hello can become a big opportunity. Reaching out to people we know is a great way to maintain a relationship. Lives can get busy from time to time. Letting our personal busy life get in the way could destroy hard earned relationships we have worked to cultivate. A quick hello is simple and easy and does a lot. A hello allows others to know they are being thought of. It sometimes turns into a reminder of certain subjects which lead to opportunity.

It can be more than a hello too. A motivational text, or email. A comment on some social media site. The point is, we must keep in contact with people we know. All of them: Family, Friends, and Associates. What about people we might not know? A store clerk, pizza employees at a local shop? When entering any place of business, say hello to every employee you see. This is accomplished by saying hello to groups of employees too. A hello leads to free pizza... oh, and friendships!

Acknowledging people with a Hello, a nice comment, or a basic form of interest into their lives, helps grow relationships. It is also pleasant. Learning the value of Hello leads to confidence. It opens doors for conversation. There is a joyful return on speaking with people we see each day, or for the first and last time. That return is a sense of connection. In some cases our act of social interactions brings a smile to people's faces. Be interest in being interest!

Networking : Contact List

• BBR Productions Inc : Networking : Contact List

A handy dandy list helps organize an ever growing gathering of Contacts. Place names and notes in the phone. This is a good way to keep the list close. However, sometimes the phone can break. Have two backups; A physical list, and a list on the computer. These three lists are all the same and should be continuously updated to match one another. While a list could potentially grow each day, the main source should be updated and weekly allocate that with the other two lists.

Contact sheets are powerful tools in keeping up with individuals. Marking down information which could serve as reminders. A nice trick is to track out how often a specific contact was interacted with. Another nice trick for the contact sheet is marketing down known and unknown contacts. While doing research there can be potential contacts to add to the list which have never been met before. All these are bonus actions keeping any person above the water and breathing in success!

To start a Contact List, begin with small baby steps. Take the first ten names and numbers from the phone and place them into the sheet. Each week grab another ten until the list is completed with phone entries. Once everything is up to date, maintaining that list is fairly easy and greatly manageable. Keep these lists organized. Set up categories by building templates with spreadsheets. If this is an issue of time and management; hire a person, or company to handle this workload.

Networking : How big is your circles

• BBR Productions Inc : Networking : How big is your circles

Every person in this world has three networking circles; Family, Friends, and Associates. Family are made through a birthright. Friends are earned and at times become family. Associates are people we work with, see on our daily rounds through life. They could also be known through others, but not our friends, just friendly. These three groups make up a Life Circle. Each Networking Circle carries with it the same value. What is different? The relationships themselves.

These circles must be grown and cultivated. Every person we meet in life has value. We never know who they truly are, or who they know: Or what they might become in life. Growing relationships to use them is a bad habit to build. Instead, grow these relationships to utilize a system of sharing and returning the gift of unity! Each person within these groups can influence steps up a mountainside. Some are more prone to knock down walls when needed.

Life without others is a lonely life hidden in an empty world. Keep finding new people to befriend. Even family that might be lost to distance, or friends of friends. Everyone we meet is important, as each person they meet can become a friend. Build these circles with Associates to turn them into Friends for life. As life turns our closest Friends into Family. Blood will always be thicker than water. Even if it is a friendship turned family!

TAC: The Art of Conversation : 5 levels of TAC

• BBR Productions Inc : TAC: The Art of Conversation : 5 levels of TAC

Each level of TAC comes with new and expansive rules. What a person learns in novice stages of TAC will be expanded upon for more complex TAC-ticians. Though Novice TAC Skills will provide a foundational ground for even Mastery/Advanced levels, a Master TAC-tician might not utilize Novice TAC protocol. Every situation contains specific scenario options. Following basic rules of TAC will continue opening successful pathways. Practice How To Say It, When To Say It, and Why To Say It!

♦ Novice : At this level a TAC-tician should concentrate on learning the value of “With Conversation”, “Jury Talk”, and the power of “Creating Urgency”. Learning how to create conversation without ever approaching another person begins from “With Conversation”.

♦ Competence : At this point a TAC-tician can talk with individuals, hold a conversation and direct it to their needs. They can also get their point across without ever “Upping” a person during their meeting. Finding ways to imbue a sense of relationship quickly comes naturally to a competent TAC-tician.

♦ Proficiency : Once a TAC-tician becomes aware of their conversational control it opens doors to group conversation. No longer in the one on one environment, a Proficient TAC-tician can lead an entire group into any desired direction.

♦ Expertise : There are many levels to understanding TAC: The Art of Conversation. Expertise is considered one of the more complex levels because it involves having control over an entire room, multiple conversations, and maintaining direction throughout one single encountered situation.

♦ Mastery / Advanced : Advance TAC takes all needed rules and throws them all out. Between confidence, a true direction of why, and being completely aware of what will come from any conversation, a Master of TAC is in control at all times of even the other person's line of thought.

TAC: The Art of Conversation : Ask without asking

• BBR Productions Inc : TAC: The Art of Conversation : Ask without asking

Friendship is built on respect. This respect comes from a mutual understanding. Even long term friends have boundaries. Depending on how well friends know each other, or how long they have known one another, could determine the value of specific requests. There is a nice freedom about best friends. There is a sense of openness in certain situations. With that openness there can still be a sense of reserve with most requests. Asking for money, or items can be stressful or off putting.

It can be tough asking a close friend for greater valued requests. Asking a person with no relationship, or hardly one at all, could be even harder. Yet, people do it all the time. There is a reason for this. “Want”: A desire to “want” right this moment can over power logic. There is a saying “Great things come to those who wait”. While we, at BBR Productions Inc, feel you should not stand around waiting and be more proactive; we do believe putting hard work and time into life is important.

Value of friendship is grown with time, with effort. In any field of interest, life is about those friendships. Who you know, is all about Networking. That hard work leads to opportunities. Why!? Friends love working with friends. More exactly, friends love working with friends they like. Adam Sandler surrounds himself with people he enjoys working with. Even if the final product; good or bad, life is about living joyfully doing what you love. A career is define by the fun of its longevity.

Misconceptions of success – You need something to sell

• BBR Productions Inc : Misconceptions of success – You need something to sell

Individuals worry they are not ready to Network and Market because they have nothing to sell. Even when armed with an idea, yet, with nothing physical to sell to the public: A CD, an Item, Show to promote, etc. A client's fear is what do they have to market if nothing is in hand. Brands are more than items. A Brand is the actual product. Things which are sold by a Brand are considered By-Product. Understanding this concept is a major change people must make to succeed.

A band, comedian, even a business, are all the same thing; companies. A person searching for a job as a teacher, doctor, or manager position at a Supermarket, are all companies. People are companies. Some or failing companies living above their overhead, and others are earning income and living in the green. A company must always market their Brand first. Above all else, audiences must connect with a Company's Brand before they are willing to trust in a sale.

First step is reaching out to people within the field of interest. Then, allow audiences to become familiar with a Brand. It can be as simple as small steps on social media till a Company works up enough momentum to do large cost effective marketing. Some companies will market their Brand for well over two years before selling anything. Start the hype; get audiences Aware of a Brand they can become Interested in, so they have a connection to spend money.

Misconceptions of success – Waiting to get good first

• BBR Productions Inc : Misconceptions of success – Waiting to get good first

Learning a skill to achieve a career in a specific field is important. A person should understand, at minimum, the basics of that career's needs. The 3 Needs of Success are bound by maintaining an even growth between each need. Those needs are Network, Market, and Practice. Being the best in a field, skill, or specific craft is not where success comes from. This is where unsuccessful people live in their mind. They believe being the best gets you the best results. There is more to success.

An Comedians tell jokes. This is what they do. But that is not their job. Their job is to Network with individuals building and cultivation relationships. Marketing their Brand to gain awareness which creates interest that ultimately generates sales. All the while practicing their craft so they can play the game when it is their turn at bat. So why do most unsuccessful comedians feel they need to work on their craft only in the beginning?

Because who would be interested in an unfunny, unskilled comedian!? Truth is Networking and Marketing to build relationships as a Brand is the foundation of success. Brand growth leads to opportunities. Jokes are a by-product of that Brand. They are secondary. Meet people now to establish friendships. People work with people they like. Market the Brand, not what that Brand does. Getting a name out there is objective number one. This is a comedian's real job. Jokes is what a comedian does.

For readers interested in a non-performing career; A student going to college to perfect their degree and earn requirements to teach are important. When that student graduates, now they have to start looking for a job. What if that student began Networking and Marketing with schools, teachers, people of note within the educational system by going to events, etc, while earning their degree, to build those relationships beforehand? The hard work is completed for when that student graduates.

Be proactive in life. Waiting leads to lost time. Always Network, Market, and Practice together.

Social Media – Social in your media

• BBR Productions Inc : Social Media – Social in your media

Social Media begins with people on the other side of a computer screen. Those individuals writing about their personal lives, experiences, ideas, opinions, accomplishments, failures, or simply wanting to be heard. The term Social Media should stand for something more than promotion. It is a terminology that indicates its purpose within the title: Social Media. The world within a world. A place where a person from Spain could potentially interact with someone in America.

A powerful tool in Social Media is to actually be social. Connect with others by reaching out and interacting with them. This will cause, at times, a response to interact back. The internet is not about a “you” mentality; it is about an “us” behavior. When we give time to other people, that time is reciprocated. In the beginning interaction needs to be earned. Place 30/60 minutes aside each day to dedicate interactive tasks.

Rule of thumb: posting requests to act can deter potential interacts with a social network site.

“Request to Act” are AD's, and any version of that AD. “come see my show, or this show”, “Like my page!”, “Listen to this song/joke video”. These are all examples of a Request to Act. A Social Media No No. Instead, to keep interest, a good form of Social Media educate is to express an emotion, or opinion of what is going on. “Had an amazing time last night performing.”, this is to the point, and is selling nothing. It is, however, bringing up a reason for people to ask questions.

The Plan : In the midst of a quest

• The Plan : In the midst of a quest

Where once there was no opportunity a quest has opened up with a plan set before you! A foundation will create a concrete ground to stabilize your fearlessness to say YES! During this time you are Networking, Marketing and Practicing your heart out. The passion is growing, but nothing seems to be happening. It will not happen right now while you are building up your foundation. Your job right now is to do little to nothing with your dream. That is correct, you are not ready to do anything with your dream: be it buy a house, be an actor, tell some jokes, or even start investing. This time is dedicated to your 3 Needs of Success. What else could you be doing to keep your motivation up? Research, Research, Research, and learn every aspect of the field you want to be involved in.

From those who mastered your field to the little start companies within your interest of passion. The truth hides in their effort. Questions like “How did they get there” and “What were they doing to make this happen” are all powerful starting points. Know who you are going to be involved with. You may not be directly involved with them, but working in the same business as they do, or somehow you might be associated with them through a long line of degrees leading to one day crossing their paths, or even places and people they may have been in contact with. Know what and who people are. Educate yourself with a plethora of knowledge to store up correct tools to be prepared in any networking situation.

As you learn who these people are, begin your reach out program. Set S.M.A.R.T. Goals to organize your time properly. Start by sending one email out a day to introduce yourself to these people. Utilize the 3 paragraph formula that we will go over in the next few weeks. For now, start setting time aside to contact people. Another action should be getting post cards to send out to get your brand in their hands. Post cards are also a great way to say thank you to someone after a meeting, or a run in. Or even a great phone conversation. Build those relationships, and start making the correct steps to get your brand in their heads while learning who these people are and what they do. Never run into a desert without enough water, and know where that desert will lead you!

The Plan : What to do while I save

• The Plan : What to do while I save

Once you have figured out your foundation goal number to save for security then you must understand your needs to ensure a strong foundation period. During this time you must utilize your limited freedom to help build your networking circles while growing your brand value. Success comes from your 3 Needs of Success: Network, Market, and Practice. Building and cultivating relationships is all about who you know. Your brand value is important for people to remember who you are and what you do thus it creates a sense of who knows you. Once you have realized your personal value and time you will be involved in the 3 Needs of Success. During your time saving up a strong security to enforce your foundation take a time to master the art of Networking, Marketing and Practicing.

A few rules on how Networking can work for you during this time: Start going out to events when you have time. Learn about people, reach out to people and continue to interact with them over the course of your foundation growth. It is important to maintain a connection with individuals because it will give you a much larger head start when you officially leave your foundation growth and jump into your first year of success. Listen and respond to those around you, in your field of interest, and others surrounding the life you wish to be involved in. This is the time to get out there so you can be remembered, and earn friendships. A simple rule of thumb to remember about Networking: It is never about you. It is always about them.

Marketing is easier as a habit. During this time you want to grow your social network and awareness to your brand. While growing your numbers on social networks you must also maintain a continuous path to your main website. Having a site is a perfect way to get people to know where to find you with ease. I have been asked about “But I have nothing to sell, what would I need to do this for now?” You do have something to sell: Your Brand. It is an indicator of who and what you stand for. Anything you would traditionally sell is considered a By-Product. That comes later. Also, while building your social sites it is important to interact with those connected with you. Always conversational, never sell to them. Allow Marketing and Networking to work as a team through Practicing how to master it all.
