The stress of success – Suc-stressful : But I am so talented, what happened?

Today's Tip • The stress of success – Suc-stressful : But I am so talented, what happened?

How great you are rarely determines how well you do. In this life our actions speak louder than words. However, if people have never heard of you, or they really don't like you, then being talented means nothing. This business of life starts out with an idea; the strong survive. We're protected by a guardian/parent figure to ensure a child makes it into their teens at minimum. Being the strongest is basically being the best and most talented. However, surviving in life, and becoming successful at what you do, are different. Without a basic understanding of what gets you there vs what keeps you there, things can become a bit confusing.

You want to be the best at your job to keep working there, stay in entertainment as a valuable performer/creator, or continue maintaining whatever it is you love. Being the best keeps you around for only so long. You must do certain things to help both “obtain” and “grow” success. This is done with the 3 needs of success; Network, Market, and Practice. Each of these things are a product of effort. Networking is about who you know. The more people you know, and are nice with, the easier it is to get things going. Marketing is who knows you. When people know what you do, they'll make an effort to find you. If you are good at what you do, you'll be on the top of their list; which means, “Practice” your skill.

Letting go of this idea that being amazing will get you to the top without placing the correct effort into these specific areas will help greatly in achieving said goals. A little side tip on being suc-stressful, is when you think you are the best, and never show the courtesy of thanks for those around you, it can lead to a meltdown of anxiety. People will vanish when they are unappreciated. Be kind to people, it helps Networking and Marketing go so much easier. People will listen to those they like, and give ill reports of those they see as arrant knaves. So what did happen being as talented as you are? Think back on your time in your field; where are you now? Make changes and get where you want with effort!

The stress of success – Suc-stressful : In my head it was huge

Today's Tip • The stress of success – Suc-stressful : In my head it was huge

Setting up events, actions, and or moments are a job themselves. It always seems easier in the mind when setting these things up for accomplishment. Going through that list of things needed to make it amazing could be a task all itself. What you need, want, and where to get it all. Pumping the mind up for failure as a person sees it growing in their mind's eye of what is to come. On paper, in your head, or even during conversation; the act of discussing it far outweighs the major outcome of anything we place effort into. “In my head it was huge.”

It will always be huge in your head. Sometimes the event itself is not the issue. Have flying monkeys and tell no one and no one will see it. Again, marketing can do only so much. Proper marketing starts with an idea, a game plan, then making a direct effort into action forward. Who, what, where; these things define marketing. Who you are marketing to allows you a game plan of who is most likely coming. What you are marketing sets you up for direction. Know what you are marketing.

Where are you marketing? Where are you going to be? Where is everyone coming from? Where is a great way to look at it. Know all these things. For Where are these people coming from helps you determine your mileage of marketing. The radius from center point out to a 5 mile distance is your primary spot of attack. This space is to be hit every week at a minimum of twice a week. Once you have found yourself in the constant actions of that area, move out into the secondary area; 10 mile distance from your primary spot. Hit this a minimum of once a week. Bring the huge from your head into reality.
