TAC : The Art of Conversation : Jury Talk

Today's Tip • TAC : The Art of Conversation : Jury Talk

What happens once you get into a conversation with a random person by talking “With” them? You bring in Jury talk. A style of talking which is quick and to the point. Answering a question with a long winded response takes away from the conversation. Keep answer relatively simple. So to allow the other person to feel in control of the conversation. With Jury talk you are controlling the conversation with your answer's direction.

Example of a Comedian wanting to start a conversation with another person. Begin the conversation using “With, Not to” then jump into “Jury Talk”. Scene is waiting on line at the supermarket.

COMEDIAN
It would be awesome if they invented conveyer belts for humans that go along with the conveyer belt for food.

RANDOM PERSON
(looks at comedian)
People would enjoy that wouldn't they?

COMEDIAN
Oh I am sure. Anything for lazier.

RANDOM PERSON
You should invent that.

COMEDIAN
Who me? Not my specialty.

RANDOM PERSON
What is your specialty?

COMEDIAN
I am a comedian.

RANDOM PERSON
Do you perform around this area?

COMEDIAN
On occasion, Yes I do.

RANDOM PERSON
Where would I see you? (Line moves up)

COMEDIAN
Whoops, the human conveyer belt is moving. Here, Take my card. My site has all that information. (Moving random person away from unimportant relationship growth)

RANDOM PERSON
Thanks.

COMEDIAN
You are welcome.

Take the conversation where you want to go, but keep it simple and to the point. Be playful, or direct. Connect with the person. Once they start asking you about your life then redirect it away from personal. It is about business, and relationship building. Even if for a moment of time. Because then it is practicing networking. Which would be two of your three needs of success!

The Art of Conversation : With, not to

Today's Tip • TAC : The Art of Conversation : With, not to

Talking “to” a person is based on a “me” perspective. “With” is open forum and allows two or more people to have an comfortable conversation about something random. When you talk “To” a person, it is always a direct approach toward a person or persons; “Where do you work?”, “What is your favorite color?”. A great example of talking “With” a person(s); (saying it out loud just to yourself) “This weather is really lovely today.”, “I love the wall color.”

By taking away the pressure of asking a direct question or placing an individual on the spot, you open doors to a comfortable response from them. When a person can “add” their opinion to something you said, they are bringing points to the conversation. It's easier on people to feel a part of something than being directed at, thus becoming the center of attention. Which creates a fear.

When in High School a teacher will call up a student to speak in front of the class. What must be going on in their head is unknown. What is known is this; Public speaking is one of the hardest fears to break free from. It is a skill that is acquired through years of training. When a person is spoken “To”, they are placed into the public speaking (flight or fight) syndrome. Anxiety destroys a conversation. Release a person of that fear by talking “With” them.

The Art of Conversation : What is TAC?

Today's Tip • TAC : The Art of Conversation : What is TAC?

The most common mistake people make is talking. It's a hard thing to keep from doing because people want to express themselves. People talk from a perspective of their own needs outside the needs of others. Which makes sense, since we as people have egos. Example “I eat so I survive”, “I sleep so I am rested”, “I protect myself so I can live.” Hard facts of life is we care more about ourselves than other people.

The Art of Conversation is about breaking those rules, or systems, that have been imbedded in us for years as a child; A “I come first” ideology. Think of other people. TAC's psychology is broken down into three simple rules; How to say it, When to say it, and Why to say it. These rules are designed to reteach a person's mind so they can networking with a greater result. Building and cultivating relationships starts with the correct hello.

So what is TAC? How to say it; There are rules to the way you talk with a person, answer their questions, respond, and take part in a conversation. When to say it; Timing is everything. Say it at the wrong time, talk about something out of place, or even bothering a person when they are busy can destroy a conversation before it started. Why to say; Direction above all else will help you lead that conversation even while they are asking the questions.

Your life's vehicle : Fill that gas tank up

Today's Tip • Your life's vehicle : Fill that gas tank up

There are a great deal of ways to find out if your vehicle needs fuel or not. There is a gas gauge, the car stops, little things like that. Every vehicle needs its fuel to keep moving. That fuel is designed to go with designated vehicles. Regular, Diesel, etc. Feed it anything against its recommended diet and bad things happen to its engine. Learn what best works with your vehicle so you can get a great deal more out of its performance.

Like vehicles, your body needs the same care. Getting oil changes, breaks replaced, these all relate to our human bodies. Feed the body proper foods to help fuel it best in life. Figure out what is going on for that month. Eat for preparation. Like fuel for vehicles, placing the wrong item into the body can have negative results. Know what can be eaten for a greater range of accomplishment.

Eat properly, timely, and within portions. It is important to eat a minimum of three times a day, every 3 to 4 hours. Of course checking with a nutritionist is always an amazing way to go about it. When you eat, how fast you eat, and what you drink all contributes to how a body reacts to that fuel's intake. Fun fact; Popcorn has existed for about 6000 years. See, foods can be fun as well.

Your life's vehicle : Rotate your tires

Today's Tip • Your life's vehicle : Rotate your tires

There will be times when “Your Life's Vehicle” is having issues and you may want to “Fire quickly”. Finding a tire that fits the vehicle can be time consuming. There are vehicles out there that have dedicated tire positions. A tire is designed for the driver side front, etc. Well, when you buy a tire, a professional normally places it on the vehicle. There are times when you just purchase a tire and call it a day, throw it on and drive away.

Tires might not work best in a wrong position. Instead of replacing a good tire try rotating it. See where it works best. Most individuals have set skills they excel at. Others might find things more difficult, this is in no way a representation of their overall skill set. Allow people to showcase their ability. A company strives on utilizing people. If you see a person struggling, have a conversation with them to see what their likes and dislikes are. You'll be surprised what you learn from a person if you ask. Move them around to find a good wheel placement.

Bringing a person into your life is the same thing. Some people might be horrible friends, or just negative building individuals that suck your good energy dry. Work with this, you may find their views are only insightful ways to refocus your personal life. What you hear as sad, or annoying, could become productive thinking upon yourself to change your personal tires. Where could you improve your life more, where can you insure a safer drive?

Your life's vehicle : Once in a while pull over and rest

Today's Tip • Your life's vehicle : Once in a while pull over and rest

Sleeping at the wheel, while driving, is considered an offense equal to drunk driving. So pull over to sleep a while. Take a nap. It's good for a person's mind. Resting both one's vehicle, and self, helps refocus direction for any length journey ahead. Losing lost time because of rushing, or running into something dead tired is less productive than relaxing, resting it up and taking it on fully rested is smart living.

Vacation; ah the best word in the world. Take it, let it happen once in a while. Some people take a break every three months for a week or two. It's good to relax. If you have a team handling your life's business, or your company; people you trust because they add value to “Your Life's Vehicle”, than take that break. Go bowling, fishing, sleep. Pull over right now and close your eyes for a moment while breathing.

Pausing a car ride by pulling over and resting is great. Getting someone you trust to drive while you nap is even better. Take naps while switching up drivers helps two things; A) You get to rest because you deserve it, and B) and the other person can drive while you rest. Your life's vehicle is important to you, and everyone around you. Drive safely, and rest up before taking on action.

Your life's vehicle : Fire quickly, Hire slowly

Today's Tip • Your life's vehicle : Fire quickly, Hire slowly

Life's vehicle has plenty of room in it for everyone, how efficient is everyone in that vehicle? There are negative people, who bring down the vibe of the ride; “Are we there yet?”, “Can we stop again?”, etc. Those who bring up the ride through positivity can make every ride greatly more entertaining. Who's adding to “Your Life's Vehicle”? What are people contributing to that ride? ; Advice, laughter, a shoulder to lean on, truth, growth, etc.

Picking up hitchhikers as a vehicle flies down a highway is a sure way to meet new people, but who are we meeting? Fire quickly is a way of taking chances to meet individuals in your life. Give everyone a chance, “you never know who someone is, or knows.” Let people speak their voice by giving them a chance to add something to the Life Vehicle. Though, 90 days is a good point of release. Remember to stay in touch with everyone, as we all deserve connection.

One thing to improve the value of a person's life vehicle is take a great deal of time to find the right fit. Who is adding value to this ride? “Treat your life like a business” is a great way to look at it. If a company hired an individual who doesn't show up all the time, or is being counterproductive to the whole team, then it is time to let them go on their way. Companies grow with advancements in positive motion. It might take 100 people to find 1 amazing soul.

Your life's vehicle : Who's in for the ride?

Today's Tip • Your life's vehicle : Who's in for the ride?

How many seats does a person have open in their life? What makes a person's life filled with room enough for plenty of people? Questions that drive people mad! Truth of the matter is a person has unlimited seats to fill in their life. It comes down to time management to make sure everyone in that life is being comfortably taken care of, or recognized. Make room in the life of “now” so more and more people can enjoy life's company!

On average a person loses more and more people in their life from being busy. Without question, the world needs to connect to individuals to feel apart of something. Thus, most people connect to others who are around their daily life path. Fellow employees, lovers, and family living nearby. Those met on the way, who are outside our normal path, become side bound until the vehicle has a chance to pass that part of the street again.

First rule of “Your Life's Vehicle”, everyone has value. They are living creatures with purpose. We may find ourselves out of touch with these individuals; however, they have a great deal to offer life. They have opinions, skills, laughter, and support. A small “hello” is more powerful than a “never again”. A wonderful rule of thumb; do you miss someone, or feel forgotten? Reach out, it'll make a great difference in life.

Treat your life like a business : Who wants to live in the red?

Today's Tip • Treat your life like a business : Who wants to live in the red?

Watch the budget of your life. There is a force of nature protecting every company, that force is a person's will power turned into habits. Think about an overhead being kept low, income high. The secret to wealth starts with “Spend less than you save”. Most companies/individuals spend more than they save. They have mortgages, loans, credit cards; all of which are expenses over income.

There are people who want right now, and those who have patience to gain later. Set up a budget starting with the 3 Needs of Purpose; Security, Growth, and Dream. This is a great starting point for any person treating their life like a business. Budgeting money starts with saving, investing, and protecting. When money is in a person's control their business, or life, now becomes surrounded in possibility.

Simply spend less than you save. If you are having a difficult time affording an item, save up for it in your Dream need. Allow money to grow before spending money that may not be available. Falling into a trap of wanting more than building habit tasks will lead to a collapse of any business. Stay within that budget to watch your opportunities becomes possibilities, that become successful ventures.

Treat your life like a business : Would you invest in you?

Today's Tip • Treat your life like a business : Would you invest in you?

We all have jobs, we all have goals, and we all have things we want. Each job a person starts, they place a lot of effort into being the best they can be at that job. Learning everything that will drive them to get promotions, raises, etc. Goals and wants are given a person's full time and money each day. Individuals will throw their money into great clothes for a job, for house, or for their hobby; but what about their life?

Invest into you. Read, learn, and grow. While a person might place their hard earn money into other people / companies, they rarely place money into themselves. Giving them the investment they so deserve. Give this investment to yourself. You have value waiting to make things happen. Look inward at your Triangle of Life and make adjustments. Invest into your needs.

If a person cares greatly for these other things, a person should care even greater for their own life. Build value to your opportunities so that anything is possible. Allow your investments to work with your life, with your personal company of growth. Make everything you do be a part of your adventure through time.

So why all this “about you” tips for the week? Because without you there would be no YOU! This is your life and you deserve to be everything you ever wanted to be!

Treat your life like a business : Budgeting Time & Money

Today's Tip • Treat your life like a business : Budgeting Time & Money

Time and Money, you get them both. One is earned and the other is spent. Time is spent on trying to earn money. How weird is that? Budget your efforts so that your time is spent sparingly to earn greater amounts of money. You're given 24 hours of time a day. Normally you need a good solid 8 hours of sleep. Now you are left with 16 hours. 9 of which you give to a job (leaving you with 7 hours) since money comes by working... or, if money is working for you!

Stay clear of giving your valued time away for an amount worth less than you. Are you working hourly, salary or living while money is earning daily? Look at your triangle of life as an opportunity to see the world at your fingertips. Embrace your life's time in a wealthy sense. Think; Why am I doing this? How can I do this better? What am I getting out of this experience? Does this action help further all my goals or just some of them?

Money, people place too much value into it's worth. Money can be replaced, saved and invested. Learn the power of your time invested into knowledge of money. While you can give up your time to replace money, saving it can only lead to wasted space, while investing your money can lead to earning wealth. Placing investments into money growth is how wealth is created. This growth will open up your 7 hours into YOUR 16 hours.

3 Needs of Longevity : Consistency

Today's Tip • 3 Needs of Longevity : Consistency

Doing something once is just by chance, creating Habits brings success to reality. Consistency in everything we do helps turn a “once in a while” into an “everyday” effort. Even one thing a day is 365 a year. Making habits treats the human brain to feel comfortable in accomplishing behaviors. It takes time to turn an act into a habit. The results are worth any amount of time put into it.

Believing in oneself is a great start to Consistent habit building actions. Every morning a person should wake up, stretch, walk outside and say “Today, I say Yes to my life and dreams!” from there everything else becomes smaller steps to achieving said goals. Be aware of a list; create S.M.A.R.T. Goals. Every morning after a good strong “YES TO LIFE” Habit, sit down and write out Two S.M.A.R.T. Goals for the day. Each day will turn into confidence and life.

Want to become successful, know that it takes the 3 Needs of Success to accomplish this. To be secure and have growth comes from the 3 Needs of Purpose. All the while bringing a great team together to insure the 3 Needs of Longevity are working for a person's Triangle of Life. In everything a person does, they must create habits to see those things are done everyday, or every other day. Just make sure the do. For doing is the hardest part!

3 Needs of Longevity : Talent

Today's Tip • 3 Needs of Longevity : Talent

Every company needs a skill set that is above another. A person's life is filled with skills. More skills the merer. What is a “Brands” Talent? How does this brand stand above the rest of the world setting it apart in a grander way? These are important questions. Know a Brand's strengths to help see it grow to another level. Working within the 3 Needs of Longevity a brand will find Talent drives it succeed.

Practice that “Talent” (3 Needs of Success) to master your skill. When a company has Talent representing the Brand of it is easily comes to an understanding that the talent is the face of that brand. Among being the face of the brand let all those involved in said brand learn that particular skill. If everyone involved with that brand is working hard to master being a part of that talent, then the longevity of that brand is possible!

Getting a list together of what talents combined make up the brand is a great way to focus energy. Reading, seeing, understanding, and thinking about those talents can truly help organize direction. Being aware of a Brand's talent also is just the beginning. Look deeper into each talent. What smaller talents help make a talent so powerful? Looking inward, or getting others to look at a brand's talent (for that talent) can help focus this list even faster.
