Services; Marketing (PR – Public Relations)

Today's Tip – Services; Marketing (PR – Public Relations)

How does a client get noticed? That's where a PR Firm comes into play. What is PR? Public relations (PR) is the practice of managing the flow of information between an individual or an organization and the public. Public relations provides an organization or individual exposure to their audiences using topics of public interest and news items that do not require direct payment. The aim of public relations by a company often is to persuade the public, investors, partners, employees, and other stakeholders to maintain a certain point of view about it, its leadership, products, or of political decisions. Common activities include speaking at conferences, winning industry awards, working with the press, and employee communication.

One client we have been working with is www.JoePontillo.com who has hired our firm to push his name through the media. Getting some exposure using newspapers, magazines, etc. Over the last month we have placed his information into certain avenues. Most a stand-up comedian, he also has done commercials for NY weather channels, episodic web series, and written scripts.

The idea is to get your information in front of as many eyes as possible. Both quickly and constantly. Through having representation you gain a sense of value. Calling these people up on your own is one thing, though having a group of people who have already grown a relationship with these outlets is another. Let yourself concentrate on your talent, your craft, your company and give other people the power to promote that brand. It will help in the long run.
